LetterGenie Now Offers Mail It! Service
Due to popular demand, we are very excited to announce we are now offering Mail It! snail mail service.
Would you rather not lick stamps, fold and mail the hundreds or thousands of letters you just created?
We’ll Mail It! (for you). Just call us at (888) 236-6140, provide us with your credentials and we’ll take it from there. It’s that easy!
Our Mail It! service is a flat fee of $1 per letter (First class mail, standard letter size envelope + up to 2 pages). Minimum order of 250 letters required.

Update: Issue with Group Letters
We have fixed an issue arising from LetterGenie’s synchronization with Highrise. The issue was that contacts that were tagged as a group were not displaying the members of the group within LetterGenie. For example, if you selected the group “Clients” within LetterGenie, none of the members would display as they had previously.
It appears 37signals recently updated their API and this change affected LetterGenie’s synchronization with Highrise. Our development team has researched and resolved the issue and LetterGenie is now again fully functional.

Support Issue with Group Letters
We have received a report from a user that, within the LetterGenie app, individual members of a group are not appearing as they should. This issue would affect the ability to create batch letters for groups. We are currently looking into this issue and hope to have a resolution in the next 48 hours. LetterGenie Increases Letter Limits
Killer announcement… as promised, we have increased our group letter limits thru the roof!
We now offer group letter limits of 100, 500 and 2000 for our basic, plus and premium plans. Group letters is a paid feature only.
To recap, LetterGenie not only allows you to create customized single letters (in PDF format) for individuals, but for groups (e.g., clients, vendors, etc.) as well. The strength of LetterGenie has always been in its ability to make creating custom letters for a large number of people easy. Well, it just got easier.
Before today’s announcement, for technical reasons, we had to limit the number of letters a user could create for a group to a fairly small number. How many depended on what paid plan the user subscribed to. As shown below, with our basic plan, you could create a batch of up to 14 letters, plus plans = 28 letters, and premium accounts = 58 letters.
Understandably, this put a kink in your plans if you had a group of 100 clients. Even with the premium plan, you would have to divide your group of clients into 2 sub-groups, let’s say clients A-M and clients N-Z and generate 2 batches for all 100 clients. Doable, but a pain.
Our new limits are much more accommodating as shown in the screenshot below. We now offer group letter limits of 100, 500 and 2000 for our basic, plus and premium plans. If your largest group of contacts is greater than 100, then the plus plan is best for you; if you are a power marketer, then our premium plan can create up to 2000 customized letters at a time.
The way it works now is when you create a group letter, LetterGenie will queue your job for batch processing and you will see the following screen to guide you thru the process.
In Files, LetterGenie let’s you monitor its progress in generating the group letters. Depending on the size of the job, LetterGenie may take a few seconds to a couple of minutes to complete your order.
On completion, LetterGenie will show you the number of letters it has generated and what the total size of the file is. Your batch of group letters will be available for download as a ZIP file, containing all of the individual, customized PDF letters generated for the group.
We’re very excited about this update to LetetrGenie and hope you find it useful. We are not currently planning to increase our monthly subscription fee as a result of this update.

LetterGenie to Improve Batch Letter Processing
Just wanted to let you all know that we are actively working on improving our batch processing of form letters.
Batch processing is when you create more than one form letter at once through LetterGenie. For example, let’s say you decide to create a form letter announcing a new sales item and address it to a group of 50 customers. Currently, you could only create all 50 letters at once under the Premium paid plan, which allows for the creation of up to 56 letters at once, but not under the smaller plans.
We here at LetterGenie believe that’s too limiting, especially for those among us that send form letters to hundreds of people. So we are using our technical know how to raise the limit. We envision a process where you will be able to select the group of people you want to address the letter to, click to create the batch of letters, then have the batched letters delivered as a zipped file in the ‘files’ section of LetterGenie.
We haven’t nailed down the amounts of batch letters you will be able to create at once under each paid plan, but it will be substantially more than you can now. The timeline for this improvement is within the next month.

LetterGenie Successfully Moved to New Home!
We are very happy to report that LetterGenie has finally been transferred to its new home! We are already seeing performance improvement with our new hosting company.
